About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and resilient Project Manager to lead a high-value road and infrastructure project in Nigeria. This role requires someone who thrives in challenging environments, is unfazed by demanding conditions, and has a deep understanding of delivering large-scale projects to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a $100m+ road project.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of professionals, ensuring all project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards, especially in remote locations.
- Build and sustain relationships with local stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor and mitigate risks, adapting to changing circumstances effectively.
- Provide clear and consistent communication to all stakeholders, reporting on project progress and challenges.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Management roles, with at least 5 years managing prestigious build projects in excess of $150m USD.
- Vast experience on road and infrastructure projects.
- Experience working in remote locations in Africa is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles, project planning tools, and financial controls.
- Proven ability to deliver under pressure and adapt to difficult environments.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Civil Engineering Degree
- Familiarity with local customs, regulations, and operating conditions in Africa is a significant advantage.
- This is a Single status posting.
