About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and resilient Project Manager to lead a high-value construction project in Nigeria. This role requires someone who thrives in challenging environments, is unfazed by demanding conditions, and has a deep understanding of delivering large-scale projects to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a $150m+ build project.
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of professionals, ensuring all project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards, especially in remote locations.
  • Build and sustain relationships with local stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks, adapting to changing circumstances effectively.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication to all stakeholders, reporting on project progress and challenges.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Management roles, with at least 5 years managing prestigious build projects in excess of $150m USD.
  • Experience working in remote locations in Africa is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles, project planning tools, and financial controls.
  • Proven ability to deliver under pressure and adapt to difficult environments.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Civil Engineering Degree / MCIOB
  • Familiarity with local customs, regulations, and operating conditions in Africa is a significant advantage.
  • This is a Single status posting.
