HSE Manager – Major Infrastructure Project – Asia

Overview

Are you an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact on a major infrastructure project? Our client is seeking a dedicated HSE Manager to oversee all aspects of safety, health, and environmental compliance, ensuring best practices are upheld across the project.

Our Client

Our client is a globally recognised construction company delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across international markets. They are committed to maintaining the highest HSE standards and are looking for a skilled professional to enhance their compliance and risk management practices and are seeking to add to their project team in Asia.

The Role

As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSE MS), ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and local legislation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, auditing, and continuously improving HSE processes and performance.
  • Monitoring HSE objectives and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures.
  • Identifying training needs, developing programs, and delivering HSE training sessions.
  • Investigating incidents, analysing root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensuring subcontractor compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Conducting internal audits and supporting procurement processes.
  • Liaising with authorities and certification bodies regarding HSE matters.
  • Managing and leading the HSE department.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • higher vocational education in HSE or a recognised professional qualification (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of experience in an HSE managerial role on major international infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in Dam, Hydropower, Infrastructure, Roads, Civils or Infrastructure projects previously.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proactive approach to HSE management.

Salary & Benefits

  • NET annual salary of around 80-90k Euros per annum plus housing (Site based), transport and 3 flights per annum.
